Compact Dry Application In Feed Industry | Nissui

Commonly Tested Parameters:
Total Count (TC), Ecoli & Coliform (EC), Enterobacteriaceae (ETB), Yeast and Mold (YM), Staphylococcus aureus (XSA), Bacillus cereus (XBC), Salmonella (SL) và Listeria (LS).
Sample Preparation
For indicator organisms (TC, EC, ETB, YM, XSA and XBC) - cut out standrardized sample (e.g 10 g or 25g), Place in sterile container, and add the appropriate volume of sterile diluent (e.g 90ml or 225ml of Buffered peptone water (BPW), maximum recovery Diluent (MRD), or 0.1% Peptone water). Homogenize and dilute accrordingly.
For pathogens (SL and LS)- Weigh 25g and dilute with 225ml sterile BPW, then homogenize.
Regulatory limits
Refer to codex Alimentarius and local regulatory bodies.
Processing notes
- Use 25g sample size for samples that absorb a large volume of diluent.
- User filter bags to minimize inclusion of sample particles during inoculation.
Animal feeds generally has high microbal load. For TC, plate using 10-3 (Figure 2) or 10-4 (Figure 3) dilution while using 10-1 or 10-2 for other indicator organisms.
Similar to other tests that rely on β-Glucuronidase activity to detect E.Coli, CompactDryTM EC cannot detect E.coli O157:H7 as an E.coli.
